CRYSTAL HEALING – AN INTRODUCTION

Crystals have been used for healing since ancient times by many different cultures.  It is a holistic therapy, which means that the focus is on the individual as a whole, rather than on physical symptoms alone. The aim of this therapy is to restore wholeness, balance and health on levels of emotions, mind and spirit as well as the physical body.

Mankind has used crystals in various ways for centuries.  In our modern world, crystals are used as part of vital components from computers to car engines, lasers to space shuttles.

The properties of crystals derive from their orderliness and the stability of their atomic structure. If subjected to some outside force such as heat, pressure, electricity or light, crystals are able to make minute adjustments to restore their internal stability. It is this quality that makes crystals so important in so many different areas of technology.

The present day interest in crystal healing is a continuation of mankind’s fascination with gemstones and minerals down through the ages. There has been no historical period, nor any culture that has not prized crystals for their visual, magical or healing properties. We ourselves do not exist separate from the mineral kingdom: All life has built up using the raw materials of the planet.  Any mineral or crystal collection reflects what we have in our bodies – from iron crystals in our blood to minerals that crystallise in our bones.  The minerals we take as food supplements and even the fertilisers we use in our fields and gardens are the same materials that exist in the crystal forms we use as decoration or as tools for healing.

When a body is unwell or diseased it is usually because the natural balance or rhythm has been lost.  Using crystals with their perfect atomic structure offers patterns for the body to follow to help self-healing. The very nature of crystals increases the levels of harmony in the immediate environment.

A BRIEF HISTORY
The earliest records of crystal healing come from ancient Egypt. The Ebers papyrus of about 1550 BC is among the most important ancient Egyptian medical papyri and details the medicinal uses of many different gems. Healing with crystals is also recorded in India’s Ayurvedic records and in traditional Chinese medicine from around five thousand years ago. Several shamanistic cultures practice crystal healing, including the Inuit people of Canada.

The ancient Atlanteans are believed to have developed an advanced healing system using colour and crystals and, according to legend, built circular temples with individual healing rooms. The ceiling of the temple would have been domed and made of crystals that transformed the light shining through into patterns of colour and vibrations.  When a person entered an individual room, a crystal door closed behind them and was then energized to the frequency of colour required to heal the specific illness or imbalance. (Frank Alpen, Exploring Atlantis)

Crystals are pure solarised sunlight that take millions of years to form. Each has its own resonance or vibration. Today we are learning to use crystals (precious or semi-precious stones) as a preventative and curative form of treatment that generate healing vibrations, acting on the body’s energy field.  Crystals can be used to channel healing energies through the healer to the patient or can be placed on specific parts of the body that need treatment.
Crystals are here to teach and serve us, but their energy lies dormant until we awaken their elemental consciousness with unconditional love. The mineral, plant and most of the animal kingdom, are bound by group consciousness.  The elementals need to be directed and therefore a crystal or gemstone needs to be programmed to serve.  We shall learn how to do this later in this course.
It is only in some higher animals and man that we assert individual consciousness. This individual consciousness is brought about by our ego which binds us to this three dimensional world. The ego brings with it a separation from our intuition and higher self. We are very seldom aware of our true inner self, which links us to all other life forms. This disconnection causes most of our problems. We disregard the intuitive self as being illogical and unimportant for our daily routines and activities. We therefore suppress the expressions of our higher self and override them with thoughts of logic and reasoning.
The intuitive self has capabilities to forewarn, foretell and guide us and is typified by expression of selfless love, compassion and joy. Crystals can help us liberate those areas of the mind which we are not consciously aware of and help us to balance the subconscious (higher or intuitive self) and conscious mind.
As we strive for self-knowledge our level of consciousness increases. We are both matter and spirit and once we can understand this connection we shall become whole and healthy. We need to get in touch with our higher and spiritual self in order to connect to crystals and awaken their healing powers. The crystals themselves can help us to do this.
Like all the kingdoms on earth, the mineral kingdom is in a state of evolution. The state of evolution of a stone is shown by its luminosity. Dull stones are less evolved, while clear luminous stones such as crystals and diamonds are highly evolved. Each stone is tuned in to a particular ray and has a particular function and purpose to serve.

The Earth Hand –also known as the practical hand

This is a Square palm with short strong fingers.  It will have a hard palm with firm flesh. The major lines should be well marked, but there may be fewer minor lines visible. This shows someone who is stable, reliable, well grounded, and honest.  They would be a very uncomplicated and straightforward person.  People would most likely call upon them first in an emergency.  They make excellent parents, and are a committed spouse.  Whichever profession they choose they will be very capable, but this person will really enjoy working with their hands, and would make good gardeners as they have a strong attraction towards nature, and would probably make their home in the countryside.  They would also make good surgeons.  Deceit is not in their nature, even more so if born under the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn.

The Air Hand – also known as the intellectual hand

This is a square palm with longer fingers. It will be dry but soft. Major lines will be clearly marked, but not as deep as the earth hand. This person will be clever but not emotional.  They would rather thrash out a problem rather than let it simmer.  Because they need mental stimulation they will thrive under pressure, it would suit them to work as a teacher or journalist.  Air hands excel in communication, especially if they were born under the air signs of Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius.

The Fire Hand – also known as the extroverts hand

A fairly long oblong palm, with shorter fingers that will be firm, warm and springy. With good prominent lines clearly marked. The combination of short fingers and a long palm indicates an emotional lack of balance, and a tendency to act and judge on pure instinct.  With a quickness towards likes and dislikes. This person can be outgoing, creative, and changeable.  They will most certainly be the life and soul at social gatherings, are excellent leaders and instinct tells them to take charge. These tendencies are increased if born under a fire sigh such as Aries Leo or Sagittarius

The Water Hand – also know as the sensitive hand

A long palm with fingers that are longer than the palm.  It will be soft and damp.  Thinly marked major lines, with lots of fine lines across the palm. The person with a water hand will be emotional, and easily hurt, unworldly and trusting, they could be seen as easy prey.  It will be important for them to have some kind of spiritual belief. They may have a flair for things such as painting, dancing, or music.  They will not be very practical, but are capable of great compassion.  They will be even more sensitive if born under the water signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

logoredone(2)Traning as a holistic practitioner

You may wonder why people need to train to become a holistic practitioner and that it should come naturally. Although to a lot of people it does, we all have latent hidden talents that with the help of a good tutor can bring it out into the open. Also confidence plays a big part when becoming a professional practitioner and knowing that what you are doing has been accredited by people who have been specialising in the subject you choose to learn can offer you untold support and confidence.

At Study Holistics all our courses have been approved and accredited so you can be sure that what you study will have some firm and valid foundation and be recoginised within the holistic field. We find that a lot of our students tend to study more than one therapy. The reason for this is that the majority of holistic therapies compliment the others. For example if you have studies reiki then you will find that learning about crystals, colour and angel therapy will increase your skill and healing ability. You then become not just a reiki healer but a practitioner who can evoke healing on a much higher level and this can only benefit your clients.

If  during your studies you have any questions you will have your very own tutor whom you can contact anytime.

Your course material will ususally consist of 3 parts. After each part you will find there is a learning review.  This helps greatly to consolodate your experience. You will also be requested at the end of the course to par-take in a Case Study. A case study basically means that you practice the therapy you have just learned on a friend or relative and then write up the experience. This again will let you see at first hand how holistic healing really does work. After your case study you will then submit your exam.  Our examination dept will then mark your exam and if they feel that you have not quite understood some aspects of the course, will gently put you back on track.  We do find however that most students having read through the learning reviews and offered up a case study find the exam part of the course very easy.

On completion of your exam you will then be awarded a certificate or diploma. This will be stamped with the official iphm accredtiation board and you will then be able to practice your therapy knowing that you are ready and prepared as a professional holistic practitioner.

Please feel free to contact us anytime to discuss your course materail. You have the option of having it sent via email within a few hours of ordering, or you can request your course material is sent on Cd Rom.  Payment can be made vial bank transfer/credit/debit or Paypal.  If you want to spread the cost you may purchase your course in parts, however you will find our course materail very competatively priced.

As a tarot reader I have been asked that question a lot, and most clients are rather surprised when I explain to them what actually happens during a tarot reading. To avoid disappointment right from the start I inform them that I am only here to translate the cards on their behalf. I do not determine nor do the cards determine what your future will bring. That really is up to you. You are always in control of your own destiny. Now that can sometimes not be the answer a client wants to hear. After all to them they are paying you good money and they want value for money, even if that means telling them that yes they are going to meet their hearts desire, they will live a long and healthy life and never have anymore problems from now on…. well I think we can all agree that that is just a lot of tosh… and no wonder tarot readers get a lot of ridicule and stick if this is the sort of readings they are giving.

tarot photo

As a professional Tarot reader it is important to not lead the client on, but to point out with clarity and hope that they always have choices that they can make and your job as  a reader is to guide them not push, not drag, not pull, simply guide.

To do this you need to have a good understanding of the meanings of each card and also a number of spreads up your sleeve. After all you never know what the client is going to ask you so the more spreads you know the easier for you to read when that unexpected or complicated question arises.

Asking the Tarot a Question – This varies from reader to reader, but I personally always inform my clients that I am not a mind reader and if they want a question answering then it is up to them to tell me what the question is by being as specific as possible. Now there are two reasons for this… a) quite often they want to know 5 questions at once, quite difficult as a reader to do, so I prefer to answer one at a time to save confusion and b) they really sometimes don’t know how to ask a simple question, so it is up to you as a reader to guide them in the best way to ask.

When answering questions always keep in mind that the client will take what  you say quite literally and you must be careful how you word your replies. Your client must never ever leave unhappy with the reading, even if the cards look a bit grim, you must point out that everything changes even bad times and that for a wonderful future they must work on the lessons that the cards will be showing them.

If you want to learn how to become a professional tarot reader then our course will not only teach you how to read the cards, but how to use different spreads, how to set up business as a reader, what to charge, what to do when your reading does not seem to flow etc…. this course is invaluable for beginners or even if you have been reading the cards for sometime but would like to gain an accredited qualification that will offer your clients confidence in your readings. The course is in 3 parts and will teach you everything you need to know to become not just a reader but a professional and effectual reader so that you will have a regular clientele list coming back time and time again. You need not have any experience in reading cards to learn to become a reader, however you will need to purchase a full set of cards as this course does not just deal with the 22 major arcana but the whole pack to give your readings more depth.

The Seven Levels of the Aura

The Etheric Layer ( First Layer)

The Etheric Body (from “Ether”, the state between energy and matter) is composed of tiny energy lines like a sparkling web of bluish white light beams. It has the same structure as the physical body including all the anatomical parts and all the organs. The web like structure of the Etheric Layer is in constant motion. It extends from one quarter to two inches beyond the physical body. The colour of the Etheric Layer varies from light blue to deep blue.

The Emotional Layer (Second Layer)

The structure of the Emotional Layer is more fluid that the Etheric and does not duplicate the physical body. Rather, it appears to be coloured clouds of fine substance in continual fluid motion, which expresses the full spectrum of our emotions. It extends one to three inches from the body.

The Mental Layer (Third layer)

This layer is composed of a finer substance than the emotional body and usually appears as a bright yellow light radiating about the head and shoulders and extending from three to eight inches around the whole body. It contains the structure of our ideas and from within this field can be seen thought forms.

The Astral Layer (Fourth Layer)

The Astral Layer is amorphous and composed of clouds of colour. It extends about one half to one foot from the body. It connects us with the higher dimensions of reality and is the doorway to the astral plane.

The Etheric Template (Fifth Layer)

The Etheric Template contains all the forms that exist on the physical plane. It is the blueprint of the perfect form for the Etheric Layer to take. It extends approximately one and a half to two feet from the body. The Etheric template level of the aura creates an empty or negative space that creates the grid structure upon which the physical body grows, appearing as clear or transparent lines on a cobalt blue background

The Celestial Body (Sixth Layer)

The sixth level is called the Celestial Body and extends two to two and three-quarter feet from the body.  It is through the Celestial Body that we experience spiritual ecstasy and learn unconditional love. The Celestial Body appears in beautiful shimmering light, composed mostly of pastel colours. This light has a gold-silver shine and opalescent quality.

The Causal Body (Seventh Level)

The Causal Body extends two and one half to three and one half feet from the body and contains all the auric bodies associated with the present incarnation an individual is undergoing. The Causal Body is composed of tiny golden silver threads of light that hold the whole form of the aura together. It contains a golden grid structure of the physical body and all the chakras.

ADDITIVE PRIMARY COLOURS

Additive colour involves light emitted directly from a source or illuminant of some sort. The additive reproduction process usually uses red, green and blue light to produce the other colours.  Combining one of these additive primary colours with another in equal amounts produces the additive secondary colours of cyan, magenta and yellow. Combining all three primary lights (colours) in equal intensities produces white.

Red + Green + Blue = White

primary colours

If we add two of the primary colours together a secondary colour is produced.  For example:
•    RED + GREEN = YELLOW
•    GREEN + BLUE = CYAN
•    RED + BLUE = MAGENTA

These additive secondary colours are, in fact, the names of colours used as subtractive primaries.  Mixing different amounts or intensities of the additive primaries together can make almost all colours.
Some of the colours that can be produced by mixing the additive primaries together do not appear in the rainbow, for example: pink, magenta and purple.

Study Holistics Online Training School is a coporate member of the international wheel of colour (IWOL) and our color therapy diploma course is accredited by the International Practitioners of Holsitic Medicine (IPHM)

fairy-blue.gifAngel therapy is based on the view that communicating with angels is the key to healing. Angel therapists believe they help to heal their patients by getting in touch with the angel who guides the patient in the right direction.

It is not necessary to be clairvoyant or a medium to experience the joy and pleasure of angels. You do not need to see angels to experience them. A majority of people feel that they are never completely alone, can feel their angel presence enfolding them, guiding them and helping bring comfort, healing and wisdom.

Angel healing shows how to bring in the love and joy that angels surround us with. In this course you learn how to invoke and commune with your angels, how to use essential oils and crystals for healing and drawing angelic visitations.

Wherever it has been possible we have incorporated pictures and diagrams to help you understand the subject and practice of Angel Healing.

You will learn

  • History of Angels
  • Archangels
