Reiki is a Japanese word, and represents the free passage of Universal Life Force Energy. In the Chinese character system, Reiki is known as Leiki, but both Reiki and Leiki originated from Tibet. The word is pronounced Ray key. The symbol is known in Japan as “kanji” or the character for the word “Reiki”. When a person is attuned to Reiki energy, their channels are opened to Universal Life Energy. A Reiki attunement is much like tuning a radio to get the desired station. The attunement tunes a person into Reiki energy so that it can be channelled for you or others at anytime for the rest of your life.
During Reiki attunement process, the Reiki symbols are used to permanently restructure all aspects of our energy bodies. Reiki is taught at different levels, students start with First Degree and then after a while they can move on to Second Degree. This is seen as the 'practitioner' level. Although you have undergone Reiki 1, Luna Online Home Studies recommends that you practice what they have learnt before proceeding on to the second degree (Reiki2). This is because a person needs to build up Reiki energy, be familiar with the subject and try it out before moving on to the second degree. Wherever it has been possible Luna Online Home Studies has incorporated pictures of crystals and diagrams to help you understand the subject and practice of Reiki. To know and possess skills in this subject can be a useful tool to assist yourself and others in dealing with mental, emotional difficulties and to help certain medical conditions; it is the beginning of a fascinating and exciting journey into the world of Reiki Healing. The main purpose of Reiki 1 is to introduce you to the principles of Reiki, key Reiki masters and sufficient information to allow you begin to practice on yourself, friends and family. |
